WHY THE NAME ÉPICERIE 1668?
European settlers first introduced Beer to Canada in the seventeenth century. The name and concept is a tribute to the first official of New France, Jean Talon, who went to great lengths to promote small local businesses here in the 1660s. His goal was to help develop a sustainable economy built for and by the locals. Among the projects that he launched was a brewery in Quebec City in 1668.
The deli offers fresh foods prepared daily with great respect to artisanal methods. We can help you create your favorite sandwich, fully customized!
